When she graduated in 1992 Amanda Bossard began her studies in marine biology in Anchorage in Alaska at the University of Alaska Pacific. Bossard started her career in commercial seafood in 1999 when she began working aboard the F/V Sunset the 65' halibut schooner turned into a salmon tender for Murat Aritan, a commercial fisherman since 1993. Bossard who is engaged to Aritan and has joined their alliance to gain access to their respective industries. Both of them are in favour of conserving resources as well as maximising the profits.
